Goodbye to the GC website!
After a 6-year long stay here in our Generation Clay home, this website has closed down.
Our friendships are as strong as ever, and we the members will continue to talk to each other by email and on Facebook,
where we have a page of our own.
But the website has run its course, and our members, reduced in numbers, have moved on in their lives.
Many of us had a wonderful time attending concerts in The Timeless Tour, and some of us are already holding
tickets for The Tried and True Tour in the winter of 2011.
We love you, Clay, and hope to follow you for years to come. Your songs will always be with us, even tho our website will no longer exist.
We can never thank you enough for your music, your humour, your caring for those who need help, the fun, and the friendships of the last 7 years.
Thanks for the Meet and Greets, the autographs, the blogs, the smiles and the swift repartee.
Thanks for the bus lines....we'll never forget standing in the dark waiting for you in the unlikeliest of places and times: Indianapolis in a field at 1 a.m; Detroit on a shivery wintry night; Chautauqua on a soft and warm summer night --are some that come to mind. Props to Jerome for keeping us organized, and you safe all those nights. Jerome's the best and we love him.
Thanks for performing in many different towns and venues, enabling most of us to get to a concert, taking us to places we never thought to visit.
Thanks for having the smarts to realize that photos and videos taken by us for distribution to the other fans were the best advertising that you could have.
Thanks for Spamalot, which meant so many of us got to NYC to see you (more than once, in many cases.)
Just thanks for being you. Our appreciation and love for you as person has had the amazing effect of creating friendships for us with fans all over North America, and even further away.
We aren't going away; we are just retiring the website.
See you in the concert hall!
